The unisex Defakto Vektor builds a bridge and shifts from classical 50s worlds to modern minimal design aesthetics. The Defakto Vektor offers a retro-futuristic design which is carried by a konvex dial that is followed by manually bended hands and a highly anti-reflective plexiglas sphere. The finely drawn indexation and the rounded, thin hands with similar sized, disc like hearts make up the modern, puristic character of the Defakto Vektor.

From 06.11. - 08.11.16 Defakto was showcased as part of the worlds largest design exhibition "International Design Fair Shenzhen". Being integrated in the "Handmade in Germany" exhibition Defakto and other interessting german, design orientated manufacturies will be part of the upcoming "Shenzhen Design Festival" and will residate in the city one more month from the 02.12 - 31.12.16.

Along the exhibition "Das Bauhaus. Alles ist Design" we will exhibit at the fair "Klarheit und Form" at Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn, Germany (24.6.-26.6). Come by and have a look.
One of the worlds leading architecture and design magazines ICON has just published an article about Defakto and our minimalistic three hand watch Struktur in specific.
Defakto has been incorporated by "Deutscher Werkbund" - an institution founded in 1907 by the architect Peter Behrens, the "Wiener Werkstätte" and others. The Werkbund has become and still is an important event in the development of modern architecture and industrial design, particulary in the later creation of the Bauhaus school of design.
Here comes a review of our newest automatic watch Defakto Kinetik. The three hand watch follows a minimalist design to visually emphasize the interaction of transiting watch-hands.The idea was to create an automatic watch that constantly generates symetric kinetic constellations directly on your wrist.

A characteristic design feature of the Defakto Accord Modular is its three-piece case made of burnished bronze, stainless steel and PVD. The strongly contrasted material mix, stringently and clearly scaled dial and partially skeletonised hands set a contemporary tone which is completed by a high quality handmade calfskin strap with a folding clasp. The starkly reduced design of this German-made watch aims to make the time appear as clearly as possible with just one glance. For this reason a second hand in permanent motion was deliberately left out.

We released a new watch: the DEFAKTO STRUKTUR. Matching the gap between modern and classic aesthetics the understated Struktur comes along with a characteristically scaled dial and the acclaimed ultra flat 6.6 mm stainless steel case. While being based on the puristic designed single-hand watch Defakto Detail it adds two more hands - minute and small second. From now on the watch is available in 8 color variations at our watchstore.
Impressions of the all new Defakto Eins and Akkord Modular watches. These bi-color models come along with the acclaimed, high quality 3-piece watch case in a modular setup with bronze/pvd and steel/pvd.
Celebrating the opening of our new Berlin office the new solid, screw down back with lasered in Brückenmeisterei graphics will be mounted without aditional charge for now.
The DEFAKTO EINS has been upgraded with a brushed, three-piece stainless steel watchcase. Its specific finish underlines the materials character and creates a raw but clean aesthetic. Light-reflections create shimmering, individual patterns as the watch gets moved. Looking back to the 90-year history of the Ickler manufactory, we lasered in 1924 at the bottom of the watchcase. Being driven by the nicely decorated, automatic movement Citizen 9015 - time is read along relaxing - EINS-typic - 15 minute indexes.

The DEFAKTO DETAIL has been nominated for the German Design Award "Ehrenpreis für Gestaltung". Have a look at the uncommercial, volunteer driven movements website and check out the interesting content.
From now on the DEFAKTO office will be present in Berlin at Brückenmeisterei, Seestraße 131. Soon the restaurations will be ready and you are welcome to come by and have a look at our one hand and two hand watches. Our manufactory will still be placed in Pforzheim, Hirsauerstraße 214.
Our new one hand watch Defakto Detail PVD is available with black or white dial. The purist watch comes along with a 5 minute scaled dial and an ultra flat 6.6 mm stainles steel case. All indexes have the same linewight and double their length according to the represented dimension of time.
The guys from worn&wound have tested our new one hand watch model DEFAKTO DETAIL.
On their trip through Kyrgystan and Tadzhikistan Marcel and Jiri climbed Pik Radelnaya, a 6250 m high mountain. On their 4 week expedition they proofed how the Defakto Eins single hand watch will handle extreme weather conditions and enormous hights.
